Aime Leon Dore Officially Unveils Their New Balance 997 Collaboration_Stroll and Speak Boldly

Highly regarded for their masterful use of color and clean design ethos, rising New York brand Aime Leon Dore has now applied their signature stylings to the classic New Balance 997 in two new colorways: “Mulberry Purple” and “Canary Yellow.” Founder/designer Teddy Santis has opted to dress each silhouette in a grayscale mix of suede/mesh, and then apply a healthy dose of his brand’s bright colors around the collar, heel, and tongue for a look that’s part NB, part ALD, and completely compelling. Named for the street that the brand’s new flagship resides on, the “Mulberry Purple” mixes pink, purple, ocean blue and navy accents, while the “Canary Yellow” presents a slightly different look, calling upon navy, hot pink, yellow, and forest green. Each pair is then completed by elegant floral insoles with a stitched-on logo patch and a classic two-tone 997 midsole. The unique footwear is also accompanied by a full collection of co-branded apparel, ranging from hoodies to tees to running shorts, and even cardigans. Each pair retails for $230 and sold out immediately upon their release at ALD, but global New Balance stockists will drop them on April 19th, so check out a store list below to see where you can get a pair.
