Nordstrom’s Olivia Kim Spins 90’s Nightclub Nostalgia Into Nike Footwear Collection_Stroll and Speak Boldly

The 90s fashion scene is still very much in – and Nordstrom’s VP of Creative Projects agrees. Olivia Kim and Nike have curated a collection of footwear that directly references the iconic decade – specifically the sights, sounds, people, and inspirations from the club scene of that era. Named the “No Cover” collection, this collaboration between Nike and Olivia is quite obviously a nod to the clubs that unpretentiously charged no admission fee while also ensuring that her designs are meant for all.

Included in this collection are five retro silhouettes crafted in vibrant, era-specific colorways. The Air Jordan 4 Retro is draped in a full black pony hair upper; the Nike Air Footscape sees a wild zebra-striped pattern; the Air Max 98 goes heavy with rave-friendly neons; the Air Force 1 Low applies a plush corduroy; the Air Mowabb stays true to the streets with a rugged outdoors theme. All five are personal favorites of Olivia’s, although she could rarely ever find them in her size back in the day. Moreover, this lookbook is revealed with three notable figures that have influenced her personal style – Megan Rapinoe, John Waters, and Binx Walton.

The Nike by Olivia Kim collection will officially release beginning on October 31st through Nordstrom NYC, online at Nordstrom.com/xNike and on SNKRS. A global release at select retailers will follow on November 8th. See the full collection ahead.
